The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme in Business Law is designed to offer specialist training to students in various areas of Law of Corporations, Governance and Dispute Settlement. 

Objectives

The EMBA programme in Business law seeks to:

  1. Develop a critical mass of knowledge and specialisation in the law of business organisations.
  2. Improve skills and competence in the practice of business law.
  3. Emphasise the resolution of business related problems through the mastery of the laws regulating commercial transactions, etc. 

Scope

The EMBA programme in Business Law cuts across various areas in business and industry. Students will complete relevant courses in related areas such as the law of business organisations, banking, capital market, commercial transactions, alternative dispute resolution practices, in addition to project work in their areas of interest. 

Entry Requirements

Candidates for the EMBA programme in Business law shall have the following:

  • Minimum of one year working experience in the industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline. 

Admission is twice in a year: April and October. 

Mode of Study

The mode of study for the EMBA programme in Business law shall be by course work, organisational case studies, annual attendance of the School’s international conference, and case project report. 

Duration

The duration for the Executive MBA programme in Business law shall be four (4) semesters. This is a weekend programme comprising one (1) contact per month over a 5 month period for each semester. 

Employment Opportunities

The EMBA programme in Business law prepares students for employment in both public and private sectors. The programme equally trains them to fill middle and senior level management positions in business, commerce, industry, and government. With their education and training, they can set up their own businesses since the programme also emphasises self-employment and consultancy. 

The fee is ₦210, 000 per semester for 4 semesters.
