The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme in Credit and Financial Risk Management is designed with the aim of meeting the growing demand for creating high quality risk assets and analysing/mitigating financial risks associated with organisations. The success of organisations depends on their ability to operate in the face of risks. Consequently, risk management is now recognised as requiring special skills central to the functioning of organisations.
Objectives
The EMBA programme in Credit and Financial Risk Management seeks to:
- Enhance students’ understanding of credit and financial risks for competitive advantage.
- Build and improve students’ capabilities to respond effectively to low probability, critical and catastrophic risk occurrence.
- Equip students with the understanding of credit and financial risk across multiple functions and business units, and enable them manage risk in a cost-effective manner on an enterprise-wide basis.
Scope
The EMBA programme in Credit and Financial Risk Management cuts across various areas in the financial sector. Students will complete relevant courses in financial sector-related areas in addition to project work in their areas of interest.
Entry Requirements
Candidates for the EMBA programme in Credit and Financial Risk Management shall have the following:
- Minimum of one year working experience in the industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline.
Admission is twice in a year: April and October.
Mode of Study
The mode of study for the EMBA programme in Credit and Financial Risk Management shall be by course work, organisational case studies, annual attendance of the School’s international conference, and case project report.
Duration
The duration for the Executive MBA programme in Credit and Financial Risk Management shall be four (4) semesters. This is a weekend programme comprising one (1) contact per month over a 5 month period for each semester.
