The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) in Infrastructure Finance and Public Project Management is designed to provide guidelines on the financial structuring for funding infrastructural and public sector projects in other to minimise risks, and ensure that funders’ objectives (expected returns or social benefits) are achieved. Students will learn basic skills in designing project cash flow models, identify market sources for funding infrastructure development, public private partnership (PPP) and other project financing models.
Objectives
The EMBA programme in Infrastructure Finance and Public Project Management seeks to:
- Develop the relevant skillset for the management and funding of public infrastructure.
- Promote specialist understanding of the peculiarities of public infrastructure and alternative funding methods.
- Emphasise the need for Public Private Partnership model for public project management and funding.
Scope
The EMBA programme in Infrastructure Finance and Public Project Management cuts across various areas in the appraisal of public projects, approvals and management of public projects, cost benefit and cost effectiveness analyses, and other traditional evaluation techniques for commercial and social projects. Students will complete relevant courses in related areas in addition to project report in their areas of interest.
Entry Requirements
Candidates for the EMBA programme in Infrastructure Finance and Public Project Management shall have the following:
- Minimum of one year working experience in the industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline.
Admission is twice in a year: April and October.
Mode of Study
The mode of study for the EMBA programme in Infrastructure Finance and Public Project Management shall be by course work, organisational case studies, annual attendance of the School’s international conference, and case project report.
Duration
The duration for the Executive MBA programme in Infrastructure Finance and Public Project Management shall be four (4) semesters. This is a weekend programme comprising one (1) contact per month over a 5 month period for each semester.
