Programme Info

The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) in Finance provides students with the concepts and tools for participating in the financial decision-making process for a variety of businesses and organisations. It requires special understanding of financial analysis and financial management.

Objectives

The EMBA programme in Finance seeks to:

  1. Conduct strategic financial analysis using both theoretical and practical applications.
  2. Provide students with the analytical skills necessary to make effective business decisions.
  3. Prepare students to become successful professionals in the field of finance and add value to existing finance professionals, by expanding and updating their core base of technical knowledge, competency and skills. 

Scope

The EMBA programme in Finance cuts across various areas in the field of finance. Students will complete relevant courses in related areas in addition to project report in their areas of interest. 

Entry Requirements

Candidates for the EMBA programme in Finance shall have the following:

  • Minimum of one year working experience in the industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline. 

Admission is twice in a year: April and October. 

Mode of Study

The mode of study for the EMBA programme in Finance shall be by course work, organisational case studies, annual attendance of the School’s international conference, and case project report. 

Duration

The duration for the Executive MBA programme in Finance shall be four (4) semesters. This is a weekend programme comprising one (1) contact per month over a 5 month period for each semester.

The programme equally trains them to fill middle and senior level management positions in business, commerce, finance industry and government. With their education and training, they can set up their own businesses since the programme also emphasises self-employment and consultancy. 

The fee is ₦210, 000 per semester for 4 semesters.
