The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme in Taxation is designed to sharpen the skills of employees in senior management positions in government generally and the various Tax Authorities in particular, for more effective performance in order to ensure enhanced tax revenue for the government. It exposes students to various aspects of Tax Administration in line with Laws of the land and with particular emphasis on the Tax Reform Programme of the Government. 

Objectives

The EMBA programme in Taxation seeks to:

  1. Expose students to both general and specialised courses in taxation.
  2. Provide students the opportunity of obtaining practical experience to solve accounting problems with emphasis on taxation.
  • Update the student’s knowledge of tax generally, and tax reforms in particular.

Scope

The EMBA programme in Taxation cuts across various areas in the financial sector. Students will complete relevant courses in financial sector-related areas in addition to project work in their areas of interest. 

Entry Requirements

Candidates for the EMBA programme in Taxation shall have the following:

  • Minimum of one year working experience in the industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline. 

Admission is twice in a year: April and October. 

Mode of Study

The mode of study for the EMBA programme in Taxation shall be by course work, organisational case studies, annual attendance of the School’s international conference, and case project report. 

Duration

The duration for the Executive MBA programme in Taxation shall be four (4) semesters. This is a weekend programme comprising one (1) contact per month over a 5 month period for each semester.

The fee is ₦210, 000 per semester for 4 semesters.
