UNN BUSINESS SCHOOL ADVERT FOR 2020 ACADEMIC YEAR

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into UNN Business School executive programmes for 2020 academic year.

Application is open for April 2020 and October 2020 batches. Application for admission into April 2020 batch ends on March 31, 2020, while application for October 2020 ends on September 30, 2020.

A) EXECUTIVE PROFESSIONAL MASTERS PROGRAMMES

EXECUTIVE MBA (AGRI-BUSINESS)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Agri-Business should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in the industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Engineering, Banking and Finance, Management, Marketing, Accountancy, Public Relations, etc.).
  3.  5 (five) credits in O’levels (including English and Mathematics)

EXECUTIVE MBA (CREDIT AND FINANCIAL RISK MANAGEMENT)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Agri-Business should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in the industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in any relevant discipline (Banking and Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Estate Management, Mathematics, etc.).
  3.  5 (five) credits in O’levels (including English and Mathematics).

EXECUTIVE MBA (ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Enterprise Resource Planning should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Management, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accountancy, Marketing, Insurance, Engineering, etc.).
  3.  5 (five) credits in O’levels (including English and Mathematics).

EXECUTIVE MBA (ETHICS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT)

Candidates for the EMBA programme in Ethics and Sustainable Development shall have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in the industry.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in any relevant discipline (Management, Marketing, Engineering, Medicine, Banking and Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Insurance, Agricultural Economics, etc.).
  3.  5 (five) credits in O’levels (including English and Mathematics)

EXECUTIVE MBA (EVENTS MANAGEMENT)

Candidates for the EMBA programme in Events Management shall have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in the industry.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in any relevant discipline (Management, Banking and Finance, Accountancy, Marketing, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Philosophy, Engineering, Estate Management, etc.).

EXECUTIVE MBA (FINANCE)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Finance should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in the industry.

EXECUTIVE MBA (HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT)

Candidates for the EMBA programme in Hospitality and Tourism Management shall have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in the industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Management, Banking and Finance, Accountancy, Marketing, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Philosophy, Engineering, Estate Management, etc.).

EXECUTIVE MBA (HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Human Resource Management should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Management, Banking and Finance, Accountancy, Marketing, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Philosophy, Engineering, Estate Management, etc.).
  3.  5 (five) credits in O’levels (including English and Mathematics).

EXECUTIVE MBA (ICT AND BUSINESS DECISION MAKING)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in ICT and Business Decision Making should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in the industry.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in any relevant discipline (Computer Science, Management, Engineering, Banking and Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Administration, etc.).

EXECUTIVE MBA (LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Marketing, Maritime Studies, Management, Economics, Public Relations, Engineering, Mass Communication, etc.).

EXECUTIVE MBA (MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Marketing Communications should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Marketing, Mass Communication, Political Science, Public Relations, Insurance, etc.).
  3.  5 (five) credits in O’levels (including English and Mathematics).

MASTER OF BUSINESS LEADERSHIP (M.BL)

Candidates for the Master of Business Leadership programme shall have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Management, Marketing, Economics, Banking and Finance, Mass Communication, Political Science, Public Relations, Insurance, Engineering, etc.).

MASTER OF ECONOMIC POLICY MANAGEMENT (M.EPM)

Candidates for the Master of Economic Policy Management shall have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in the industry.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in any relevant discipline (Banking and Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Agricultural Economics, etc.).

MASTER OF PUBLIC LEADERSHIP (M.PL)

Candidates for the Master of Public Leadership programme shall have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry.
  2. Bachelors’ degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Public Administration, Local Government Administration, Management, Marketing, Economics, Banking and Finance, Mass Communication, Political Science, Public Relations, etc.).

EXECUTIVE MBA (OIL AND GAS MARKETING)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Oil and Gas Marketing should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, Management, Accountancy, Economics, Petroleum Economics, Public Relations, etc.).
  3.  5 (five) credits in O’levels (including English and Mathematics).

EXECUTIVE MASTERS (PROJECT MANAGEMENT)

Candidates for the EMBA programme in Project Management shall have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry.

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Public Sector Accounting should have the following:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry.
  2. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Accountancy, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Insurance, Engineering, etc.).
  3.  5 (five) credits in O’levels (including English and Mathematics).

EXECUTIVE MBA (TAXATION)

Candidates for the Executive MBA programme in Taxation should have the following qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 (three) years working experience in industry or government.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline (Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Insurance, Marketing, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Management, Economics, etc.).
  3.  5 (five) credits in O’levels (including English and Mathematics).

DURATION: 4 semesters (24 months of one weekend contact per month)

ADMISSION: 2 times a year – April and October

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates for the Doctoral programmes should have the following:

    • Minimum of 5 (five) years working experience in industry

INCLUDING

  • Executive Masters in Business Administration (Executive MBA), or Masters degree in ANY business-related discipline.

OR

  • Masters degree in Economics, Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Engineering, Estate Management, Hospital Administration, Health Economics, Public Health.

OR

  • Masters degree in any discipline with at least a minimum of 5 (five) years MANAGERIAL experience.

DURATION: 6 semesters (36 months of one weekend contact per month)

ADMISSION: Twice a year – April and October

 

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application forms can be obtained online on payment of a non-refundable fee of #50,000 for executive masters and #60,000 for executive doctoral programmes, made payable to the UNN Business School Application Fees account, at any bank within the country using the Remita platform.

Applicants should log on to unnbusinessschool.unn.edu.ng and follow the procedure below:

  • Click on “Apply now” which will take you to http://portal.unnibiz.unn.edu.ng/Landing.aspx
  • Click on Applications, then “Generate Business School Application Invoice”
  • Select Invoice type, then key in your telephone number.
  • Fill in your details and submit to generate an invoice
  • Proceed to any bank with Remita platform for payment
  • Return to the Business School portal with your payment confirmation pin from the bank and follow the procedure for completing the form.

 

REFEREE REPORTS

Candidates should fill in their referee full names and emails online. A link will be sent to the email addresses of the referees. The referees are to complete the online referee forms and submit it online. The applicant should print the completed referee forms and submit them along with other application documents.

 

TRANSCRIPTS

Candidate should download transcript request form (UNNBS 012) also available online, and submit to their former universities/institutions to forward with a copy of academic transcript(s) to “The Head of Administration/Secretary” to the school.
