Programme Info
The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme in Hospitality and Tourism Management is designed to give students a broad knowledge of useful, modern and contemporary managerial skills needed for success in the hospitality and tourism industry. To this end, emphasis is placed upon professional education of the entire individual and in providing him/her with effective strategies to boost performance in his/her career.
Objectives
The EMBA programme in Hospitality and Tourism Management programme seeks to:
- Prepare candidates who will successfully, professionally and ethically manage hospitality and tourism businesses.
- Help students acquire the necessary skills to articulate, execute and develop successful hospitality and tourism businesses.
- Expose students to integrative, interdisciplinary and dynamic nature of business and managerial processes.
Scope
The EMBA programme in Hospitality and Tourism Management cuts across various areas in business and industry. Students will complete relevant courses in business related areas in addition to project work in their areas of interest.
Entry Requirements
Candidates for the EMBA programme in Hospitality and Tourism Management shall have the following:
- Minimum of one year working experience in the industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any relevant discipline.
Admission is twice in a year: April and October.
Mode of Study
The mode of study for the EMBA programme in Hospitality and Tourism Management shall be by course work, organisational case studies, annual attendance of the School’s international conference, and case project report.
Duration
The duration for the Executive MBA programme in Hospitality and Tourism Management shall be four (4) semesters. This is a weekend programme comprising one (1) contact per month over a 5 month period for each semester.
